Location:
Central location and seclusion facilitate the ease of your event.
Pass through the security gate and proceed up the palm tree lined drive that curves past manicured lawns, a perfect spot for a ceremony. On your left, a quaint neatly groomed meditation garden that outlines the tennis court.
Landscape:
The estate is set up that the main entrance gate is at the southwest corner of the estate, the drive passes the Meditation garden, palapa, tennis court, pool and under a magnificent chandeliered archway leading to the Grand Courtyard. The driveway is approximately a quarter of a mile.
The palapa itself is reminiscent of an exotic Hawaiian bungalow. Cushioned swings and tiki torches make for a comfortable view of the surrounding waterfalls. On one side, the fire ring invites a golden glow of an evening at fireside, the ideal spot to get away.
The Grand Courtyard:
The Grand Courtyard measures 110’ x 55 (from steps, smallest to main entrance) or 65 (from steps, to adjacent entrance). It is surrounded on three sides by the mansion itself and on the final side, the Quartzite stage and majestic waterfalls. The Stage is a popular spot for your ceremony and reception entertainment.
Stately
palm trees highlight the mansion with accents of red Robeline and
flowerbeds replete with many, many varieties of perennials and annuals
bringing a riot of color and fragrance to enhance this area. The Grand Courtyard can accommodate a dance floor and up to 500 guests comfortably for a seated dinner.

Rose gardens and fichus trees frame the northern valley view of the pool, as the astounding beauty of the mansion frames the east side. A “Romeo and Juliet” balcony overlooks the stained glass magnolia flower adorned pool. This one-of-a-kind infinity-edge swimming pool and spa are lit with rotating colored lights for an evening showpiece. Add the in-deck fountains for a finishing touch!
The bi-level quartzite pool deck surrounds the pool and can serve as the perfect spot for cocktails and/or seat 175 people with ample space. Utilize the western grassy knoll for your reception entertainment, and prepare your entrees fresh at the southern bordering Outdoor Kitchen.
Outdoor Kitchen and
The
Outdoor Kitchen is fully equipped with its own wood burning pizza oven,
grills, ovens, stoves, and microwaves, the perfect place for your
caterer to prepare and stage your memorable meal. Various pieces of
equipment on site can be made available for your caterer’s convenience
and use. Appliance lists available upon request.
The
Outdoor Kitchen maintains its’ ambiance, shaded by a Floridian fichus
and adjacent to the glow of another wonderful fire pit, complete with
cushioned banquet seating. The terraced roof and columned patio also
allows for cake display and bar service.
The Island Bar Pool Cabana houses another fully equipped bar and is complimented with two included unique powder rooms that are easily accessible. The tropical décor offer the perfect indoor resting place.
Oasis Spa and Bar:
Further
around the home you will find the patios of the Oasis Spa and Bar, the
perfect outdoor setting for your cocktail reception (100+), intimate
dining or sunset wedding ceremony. Overlooking the San Diegueto River
Valley with glimpses of the
Catering Preparation/ Staging Area:
Four garages, adjacent to Courtyard, are included and can be utilized as a Catering Preparation/ Staging Area.
The garages measure 1,843 esq. and are typically utilized by your caterer for food prep, storage and/or bussing station. Additionally, there is a restroom for service staff as well as a break room for personal belongings.
Shop Area: 1,003 esq. - Not typically included but has served as a first aid station for larger events. Additional fees will apply.
Tennis Court and Pavilion:

Main Home - Living area 12,975 esq.
Custom interior features include large plate windows, high ceilings, decorative pillars and limestone flooring. Built in cabinetry, numerous French doors and unique ceiling accents are found throughout the home. The main home’s kitchen features solid wood cabinetry with granite countertops. Custom milled wood doors are installed throughout the home. Recessed and hanging light fixtures, forced air heating and cooling, central station monitored fire and burglar alarm system, motorized Entry Gate with private code.
Two additional Master House Indoor restrooms adjacent to the family room are available inside the estate for an additional charge. If Sponsor elects to provide these restrooms for guests, the living quarters of the estate will be cordoned-off. An Elle Bebe employee will monitor guest access in the home. All other restrooms are restricted.
Others include: Master Family Room, Dining Room, Kitchen, Grand Foyer, Master Bedroom, and Dressing Area & Powder Room. Guest Home - 2,995 esq.
The Guest home includes Two
and a half Powder Rooms including antique bear-claw tub, Master
Bedroom, Guest Bedroom, Family Room, Dining Room, Kitchen, and Laundry.
The Guest Home can be utilized/purchased in a variety of ways: Guest
House Master Suite and Powder room Rental, Guest House Daily Rental
(Wedding Party and immediate family only), or Guest House Over-night
Honeymoon Suite.
1. Guest Home Master Suite and Powder room Rental: A romantic spot after the ceremony and before the party for the newly married couple could be in the private Master Bed and
2. Guest House Daily Rental (Wedding Party and immediate family only): Guest House Daily Rental includes the entire home and all of its amenities.The home can be used during event hours of 9am – 12 midnight for all wedding party and immediate family needs.
3 Guest House Over-night Honeymoon Suite: Guest House Over-night Honeymoon Suite accommodations are use of the furnished Guest House approximately 2,995 esq., including
two and a half Powder Rooms including antique bear-claw tub, Master
Bedroom, Guest Bedroom, Family Room, Dining Room, Kitchen, and Laundry.
Occupancy: The Bernard Gardens Guest home accommodates up to 4 people with additional areas to sleep more. If you wish to bring more than 4 guests, you must receive prior written consent of the owner or property manager. Additional fees will apply.
Check-in and Check-out: Check-in is 9:00 am and check-out is 12:00 pm. If rental schedule allows, guests may request a later check-out or earlier check-in. Additional fees will apply.
Services: Ask for referrals for massages and treatments you can arrange on site.
Food:
There are no food services however, the guest home includes a full
kitchen that you are welcome to stock and use as your own. Chef and
waiter service may be arranged additionally on your own, for lunch,
dinner or special events, and several restaurants in the area deliver.
Other Areas:
Art Studio: The octagon shaped Art Studio includes a full kitchen, half bath, dark room, and floor to ceiling windows. Currently, it is furnished as an office and has been utilized as a meeting space. The Art Studio is not included but may be available for additional fees.
Solarium: 298 esq. The Solarium is glass on 3 sides with a one of a kind glass ceiling. Currently, it is furnished as a comfortable office. The Solarium is not included but may be available for additional fees. Perfect for photo shoots.
